END OF YEAR EVALUATION OF THE ENGLISH CLASS

In my opinion I like this kind of English as the teacher knew him already, although some colleagues do not, I fast friedship with them.
Books are not in very good conditio but the important thing is the content, so the class of more fine.
All my opinions are good except one, I think the teacher sends too much work for the blog.

Acteón y las ninfas
Acteón Was, in Greek mythology, a famous hunter initiated in this art by the centaur Chiron, also a teacher of Achilles. Son of Aristeo and Autonoe in Boeotia , suffered the wrath of Artemis. The story also is told by Hyginus , Pausanias , Euripides , Calímaco and Aeschylus , among other classic authors.
Another version of the legend , Acteón boasted of being better hunter than Artemisa , so it transformed him into a deer that was devoured by his own hounds. There are parallels between the story of Actaeon and blindness of Tiresias , who lost his sight as punishment for seeing naked Athena.
Artemis , devoted to chastity, was bathing naked in the fields near the city of Orcómeno beocia woods
when Actaeon found casually. He stopped and stared at her , fascinated by her beauty transferor . As punishment ,
Artemis turned him into a stag by the desecration
of seeing her nakedness and her virginal mysteries , and sent the hounds of Actaeon ,
fifty themselves to be killed . These did pieces and ate their flesh , then look for
his master by the forest , sobbing. Then , they found the centaur Chiron , who , to comfort ,
built a statue of her late owner. According to Ovid in The Metamorphosis .
the goddess was accompanied by his entourage of nymphs.

1. LA NINFA DE LA CARACOLA.

La Ninfa de la Caracola also known as ''la muñeca'' becuase it was located close to a building with this name.

A nymph in Greek mythology and in Latin mythology is a minor female nature deity typically associated with a particular location or landform. Different from other goddesses, nymphs are generally regarded as divine spirits who animate nature, and are usually depicted as beautiful.
The shell that the nymph is holding represent the sea, something that is very important in Malaga.
The statue was created in 1877.

It is dynamic and modern, and it offer to the local and foreigner people a place to spend their time, know about the culture and business.

The Art Contemporary Centre is a part of this new Soho and it's one of the most popular places althought, the most important characteristic is that the art is exposed in the street and you don't have to go to a museum to see it. Some years ago, many of the bests graffiti artists started to paint on many walls and buildings. It has done this place more personality. In 1975, Málaga's town hall raised a monument in honoring to this politician of Málaga and in 2009 was installed a plate in his honor.

The monument was made by the sculptor Jesús Martínez Labrador, who is from Antequera.
It's located in Cánovas del Castillo Avenue and it's and the entrance of Málaga's Park because he was one of the promoter of this construction.

It was open in 1975 such a tribute to him, but before this date, the monument stayed almost a year enclosed in a storehouse due to the newspaper said it wasn't the time to open a monument of someone that restored the monarchy, when a dictatorship was controlling the country.

The monument has a strange face because the sculptor was inspired by a caricature.

Nowadays, everybody knows that the plane is one of the best inventions because you can go everywhere faster.

On the one hand, it's a good invention because without it, you would have to travel to another place separated of water by boat and it spend a lot of time.

On the other hand, the plane is the most expensive vehicle and it contaminates a lot because it spend a lot of oil.

In my opinion, I only use it to go to another country because it's confortable and you arrive earlier.
